Former British Foreign and Commonwealth Office Minister Denis MachShane who when Chavez was kidnapped at gunpoint during the coup in 2002 published an article comparing the imprisoned president to Mussolini and describing him as a “ranting populist demagogue” has written another ranting attack on Chávez today in the New Statesman: Do we need another president for life?
